A Suffolk 60 Thank You to the Night Crew of Mather Hospital
Brothers of Suffolk 60 bringing a hot meal From Pompei’s of Rocky Point to the Night Crew of John T. Mather memorial Hospital as a big thank you for the tremendous effort in this time of crisis.
A Message from the Worshipful Master
There has been quite a whirlwind of developments in just the past two days, the rapidly developing situation with Covid-19 likely has us changing to our plans on the fly.To be honest, we were seriously considering a suspension of operations before this news broke. Suffolk 60, is making the difficult decision to suspend operations. We are spending time preparing plans to help aid and assist all those who require assistance. . The safety of our brethren is of the utmost importance to us and we want to mitigate their risk of exposure or transmission or their family members who may be at higher risk of complications due to this virus.
We cannot currently say how long this suspension will last. We do know that schools will be closed until April 20, at the earliest, and Broadway shows have been suspended until April 12, at the earliest. We will be reaching out to our brothers on a regular basis beginning shortly
Rest assured that we will emerge from this crisis whenever it does subside. We will take care of our brothers and their families .
We are reaching out to inform you that there is a team of Brothers available to assist you should you or anyone you know, be they a Brother Mason or not, need assistance should this health crisis continue and deepen.
Whether it be getting groceries, traveling to Doctor visits or any other need that should arise, we want everyone to know that we are standing by to offer our assistance.
We strongly suggest that our older brethren heed the words of caution given by our community leaders, physicians and public officials to reduce any unnecessary exposure to this epidemic.
We hope you all take proper measures to protect yourselves and your loved ones over the coming weeks. We thank you again for your continued support. We look forward to returning to the quarries again when it is deemed safe to do so. We will miss seeing you all over the next few weeks. Again, please stay connected to us through our social media outlets for any updates. You can also consult the suffolk60 website .
